Information about Me

Being a small business owner is a dream come true for me.

Ever since I did a "business planning" class project in an accounting class in college, I have wanted to start mine own business and grow it to its fullest potential.

I'm not there yet...but heading in the right direction :-)

My small business consists of building and maintaining my three sites: church accounting, small business accounting software, and this site...basic accounting help.

I also work for a nonprofit organization (15+ years). I take care of their budget and expenditures. My favorite part of my "regular" job is building accounting spreadsheets. I am constantly changing and trying to improve them...drives my boss crazy:)

I have also built accounting spreadsheets for my church and via my church accounting website...have sent my spreadsheets to thousands of churches and nonprofits in over 60 different countries worldwide.

So when I started my own small business, I naturally built my own spreadsheets.

They work pretty well if I do say so myself and I thought maybe more small business owners and web site owners might benefit from my free spreadsheets.

So I decided to build this site to share them and maybe help some small business owners with their accounting needs.

I am a wife, mother of three grown children, and six grandchildren. (The above picture is Grandpa Kevin and I at the Labor Day parade with five of our grandkids...sixth one was not born yet.)

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in March 2010, so your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. ( See our story.)

We live in the beautiful state of Oklahoma. I am the treasurer at the church I have attended for over 35 years. My favorite hobby is spending time with my grandkids. Ummm...I guess that was more than you needed or ever wanted to know :-)
